Monster Typhoon - Choi-wan

Some horrifying facts of this monster storm:

A) NASA satellite imagery showed that the tops of the thunderstorms are so high they reached the tropopause, the level of atmosphere between the troposphere and stratosphere. Those high thunderstorms mean very heavy rainfall for the area underneath. The cloud tops extended to the 200 millibar level in the atmosphere where temperatures are as cold or colder than -63 Fahrenheit.

B) Sustained winds of 160 miles per hour (with gusts up to 315 mph).

C) Over 1,000 miles wide.

D) Waves at the center are 12 meters (39 feet) high.

Fortunately, its forecast path is not aiming at any population center.
